Welcome to my blog. This is a blog about the Irish Potato Famine or 'Great Famine' from 1845 - 1852. In this blog I aim to answer the research question of; 'How did the Famine affect one community?' by looking at the main example of the town of Bantry, which is found in the South of the Republic of Ireland.
